Strolling along the piers of the harbour designed by Leonardo Da Vinci; enjoying the splendour in the air of the alleys of the ancient fishermen village; following the walls of the old Conserve Square; eating from our fried fish cone. All of this is Cesenatico, too.
It just takes a few minutes for the fish to be fried and put in a paper cone and it’s ready to go!
Moreover, it is possible to ask for all of the dishes on the menù as take-away!
Romagna Street Food
It was born in the Romagna harbours, on the boats docked at the harbour of Cesenatico.
After the fishing hunts, fishermen were not over with their job: they had to repair their nets, clean the boats, select fish. During these hard working mornings, lunch time was quick to arrive. They then cooked all together, on the quay, spreading intense and alluring scents.
They were poor recipes, cooked using only the smallest fishes, those discarded by the market, but still they had a remarkable strength and a taste. They represented the sea in its most pure form. Today, they tell our story in its most beautiful way.
On the boats fishermen were all together, they exchanged gazes, words, jokes: there was an athmosphere of complicity.
